Is fear getting in your way? You are not alone.
My first book, The Time Value of Life was written primarily in 2008. However, I began writing the book in 2005 during the Thanksgiving holiday break. Little did I know, my shell of a manuscript would spend the next three years collecting dust.
Why? Fear. Not just one fear—several fears.
Last week, I read a MarketWatch post by Paul B. Farrell entitled, “Financial literacy is a big, fat Wall Street hoax.”
As an educator and advocate of financial literacy, I can tell you from first-hand experience the assertion in this article’s title is simply untrue.

The article was listed on the Yahoo! home page right behind news of Canada beating the U.S. in Olympic hockey.
It received feedback from thousands. I received a barrage of web site hits, insults, and even threats. I will not waste time getting into the specifics of the negative items. However, I would like to discuss a few things the feedback brought to mind.
